Why homeowners choose us
Why homeowners in the Lowcountry choose Benas
Most remodeling headaches come from the same three places: crews that never show up, messes nobody cleans, and decisions you are left to make alone. We built Benas Construction around fixing exactly that.
Our own specialized team handles every trade, so schedules hold and quality stays consistent from demo day to the final coat of paint. Our own dumpster and debris-removal company means cleanup is part of the job, not an afterthought. And because we work alongside design and architecture partners, you have someone at your side from the first sketch to the last walkthrough.
Clear deadlines. Realistic schedules. A tidy site. That is what a remodeling contractor in Charleston, SC should feel like.
One in-house crew
No subcontractors. The same specialized team plans, builds and finishes your project, which gives us more control over quality, timing and the small details that matter.
We clean up after ourselves
We run our own dumpster and debris-removal company, so cleanup is included and there are no waiting-on-the-hauler delays. You get your home back tidy.
Start-to-finish support
From the first visit to the final reveal, we guide every step, including partnerships with design and architecture professionals when your project calls for them.

Client stories
What Charleston homeowners say about Benas
Real words from real clients, on projects from a tile backsplash to a full kitchen.
This is the second project I have had Benna's do and they are so great! They did my kitchen tile backsplash and today, flooring…both done beautifully and with the utmost professionalism. Highly recommend and am so thankful to find a one-stop shop contractor for all of our projects!
Matheus and his team completed a full kitchen renovation for me a couple of years ago. We still love the kitchen as much today as the day he completed the work. Since then, he has put on a new metal roof, and has done some exterior work on an outbuilding. He responds quickly to any request… He communicates throughout the process and has not let me down.
Benas first remortared my front brick steps of my home and it looked completely brand new, so I had them work on my fireplace- it was in total disrepair and they had to demolish it and rebuild it back … and I highly recommend them.
Mateo and his team really care about the project they complete at your home and ensure that it's completed to the highest standards. They are a very easy team to work with and very amenable to any design changes after the fact!
Projects big and small
From a quick repair to a custom home spa
Investors flipping a property, families updating a bathroom, homeowners building the sauna they have wanted for years. We treat each one with the same care.
The small jobs
Re-mortared brick steps, a new tile backsplash, drywall patches, a fireplace that needs rebuilding. Small repairs get a real crew, a real schedule and a clean finish, not a maybe-next-week.
The showpieces
Home saunas, spa bathrooms, custom kitchens and whole-home renovations with refined finishes. When the details are the whole point, our in-house team is built to get them right.
